Doctor Said Teen Was Youngest She Ever Diagnosed With Repetitive-Motion Syndrome.

On their own, short text messages like those may seem harmless enough, but send 100 a day and you could land yourself at the doctor's office, facing the prospect of surgery.

Send 100 a day and you have far bigger issues than carpal tunnel.

I will never get the idea of being so intensely interested in blabbering the day away (usually saying absolutely nothing, I suspect) with someone who isn't with you vs paying attention to where you actually are and who you're actually with. Scary.

For her part, Annie thinks a touchscreen iPhone might be one viable solution.
"I do think that since it's touch it won't be as rough on my hands," she said.
But until she can convince her parents, she said she's more willing to follow their advice.

Teens are naturally obsessed in texting and other technological advancements. It is now the responsibilities of parents to remind their children on their priorities in life.

Thats not bad... there's a lady at work whose teenage daughter had to have surgery on her hands/wrists for some issue caused by texting so much. I have a 17 y/o sister who did 14-15,000 texts a month when she first got a cellphone (couple years ago). Thats insanity!
