LOL, I remember a TV advertisement where a guy sits next to a banker and starts talking to him in a casual manner and says something like "Hi, how are you? I am here to say you are the last remaining long-lost relative to a wealthy white African plantation family whose last remaining family member has tragically died. We found family history proving you are related and we wish to provide you your share of his inheritance. If you wire $1000 to my bank account in Nigeria ..." and the guy walks off. The cut line is "Next time you get an email claiming this sort of thing, just imagine yourself eating lunch at a restaurant and someone started telling you this."

I lauged out loud at that commercial, partially because it's true, and partially because it's so tragic that there are some fools out there who actually believe this sort of gibberish.

Anyway, Nigerian police are doing something about it, apparently.

You omitted the greatest number of people that fall for this, stupid people, nor are they as you characterized them here, old.

Some people just haven't caught on to "if it seems to good to be true....." scenario. I suspect personal greed seasoned with a health dose of stupidity is a play.
