Attention: Most people don't consider pulling from 401k unless it's a last resort... Because they already know the b.s. that comes with it... But thanks for clarifying all of it... One right after the other... Pretty much just repeating what the guy before them said, but just adding a little extra each time so that they're sure to prove that they know the most in 401k-Land . for an answer here. (OP is dated Aug 2010)
Anyway his bet bet would have been to call Pru and ask them how best to receive a distribution. Or maybe OP left the money in the 401k, and its now doubled in value.
