I want to field opinions on where you see the best investment and profit potential in today's market.

This can include anything: domestic equities, bonds, municipal's, ETF's, commodities, emerging and frontier markets, currencies, timber, land, flipping houses, multi-family investments, commercial - retail or office real estate, foreclosure, short sale, REO's, starting a small business - internet based, restaurant, bar, etc.?

I know opportunities can be localized, but I would still like to hear what ventures or investments you are most excited about today. Whether you are putting your money where your mouth is, planning to raise capital, or just have a great idea - let's have a group brainstorm session about profit opportunities, both short and long term.

Honestly? It'll be the chance to catch when the "other shoe drops". The day before the mkt wakes up to what a house of cards this all is. How the debt has been monetized, there's nothing but air down below for a long, long time. Many smarter than you or I have tried all kinds of methods, both fundamental and technical, even horoscopes to glean it, don't try. Some day!

The other shoe meaning commercial real estate, or are you just saying whenever the market realizes that we ar enot in shape and drops again?

It is impossible to catch the true bottom in any market, I've learned that much, so I'm not gonna try. Even proffesionals dollar cost into a position. I agree that maybe today isn't the time and palce - but I want to think about general areas to be looking in that provide the most upside long term. Perhaps with another pull back then it is time. But where exactly would the best opportunity be.

Opportunity abounds in domestic markets, foreign markets, real estate, commodities, small business, etc. My questions is: in what one area would you put all your chips in if you had to?

I would never place my chips in one basket. Diversification is the answer.

VMGI (formerly HMIT) will be putting out a lot of news on next week. It's what we've been waiting for. It's now officially a new company. A reality show called Cowboy Mining has one shoot in the can, and we believe TCL has picked that up. We'll know for sure next week. Cowboy Mining is in the middle of another shoot in Mexico.

Plus there's an equity deal going with Astrablu, to be announced.
Ceo, William Veve also wants to uplist to a higher board, though I'm not sure yet what his schedule on that is.

I just bought a bunch of Citibank shares ("C"). They are fairly cheap, I think they have pretty much found a bottom in the market and most (if not all) of the bad news is already out. I don't expect them to move quickly but I do see them doubling in the next 3-5 years which works out at a pretty good annual return.

And to the OP:

It's Uranium right now. It's extremely volatile too. Enjoy the ride. I have been enjoying the ride

Lithium is hot too, but it's not too profitable yet. Not too fast as spot uranium is moving right now.
