For argument's sake, now that the house has pushed for tightening of the yuan, let's say the US and China enter a trade war that dominates this decade.

What are the commodities that could see a sea change in the resulting arm wrestling?

I'm betting on REE's and HREE's. China could use the REE's to muscle control and that should push these prices way up. I see opportunity for stocks like Lynas (Oz) and UCore (Canada), both of which lie out of reach for the Chinese.

Sound your theories off, ladies and gentlemen, your musings are most welcome for a very interesting phenomenon that could define this decade and the next, as the American and Chinese spheres of influence go head to head.
