Check out the Cereberus Capital Management Fund( and who owns it). They're heavy into gun manufacturing but also ammunition making. If TPTB ever really wanted to clamp down on gun ownership, these would be the guys to facilitate it by stopping ammo production. If that happens, the gun makers would be SOOL, unless they could start up ammo production companies of their own.
But I heartily agree that now is probably an excellent time to buy some firearms and lots and lots of ammo.
