both companies have too much debt, and not earning that much. In it for almost a year now, got pretty much no where. Gotta go more for the growth stock.

Hi Guys - new to this forum and interested in sharing my trades if anyone else is interested in reading them..

here's a trade I put on 8/21

Long 5000 shares GDX @ 29.69
LONG 50 September 30 Puts $2.00
Total Cost 31.69

I sell weekly call premium to offset. Here's my credits so far
Sold 50 weekly 30Calls .77 closed for .05 up .72
Sold 50 Weekly 29.5 Calls .75 Closed for .28 up .47
Sold 50 Weekly 38.5 Calls .61 Expired worthless up .61
Sold 50 September Weekly Calls .72 Closed today for .12 up .60

So far up $2.40 on credit so my trade can not lose money. Selling one more set of weeklies tomorrow (maybe later today if we spike) and try to grab another 70 cents or so. NOt a bad trade, but really need a little more premium....

Here's one from 9/6

WLT: 2000 shares @ 14.73 / 20 January 2015 15 PUTS @ 2.60

I did the the 2015's as the price was so low. The October puts were 1.60.. so for a bit more money I get another YEAR or so - not bad.

Credits sold so far (this will go on every week)
9/6: Sold 10 weekly 15Calls for .46
9/9: Sold 10 weekly 14.5 Calls for . 79

Both still opened. Will do all the rolls on Friday afternoon. Unless at any time the options are worth 15 cents or less I typically just close them and roll them up/down, or wait for new weekly.

@ eminitrader,
Those are nice.

I'm not much of an options trader myself, except for buying an occasional put or call spread.

Today I bought NQ at 3161 and sold at 3176.25.

@Sage - nice NQ trade!!

I only trade stocks / ETF's that I can hedge and recover my hedge with weeklies - thats 90 percent of my income. I do trade eminis - day trade, but only with a very small percentage of my capital because of the risk. My trading is NOT glorious, and to some not even attractive because it has a capped upside (well, kinda does, it can be adjusted) but it works VERY well for me.

I have 7 - 12 trades like this open at any one time... Get bored all day so figured I'd share!!

Keep rocking on the NQ!!

Thanks, eminitrader.

Wow 12 trades at once! That's a lot. I rarely do more than 4 at a time.

No not always 12. I have 6 right now. But if the opportunity exists, I open them up - but its rare to have that many. I'll probably close GDX and SODA at expiration next week - then see what else pops up

UNH and WLP look powerful (united health and Wellpoint) health insurance companies.

I had bought these way back in the day and just having done much with them.
