I live in San Francisco and I must say this Black Friday was so much more busy than last year. I saw a lot of people with bags (myself included), so they weren't all window shoppers.

How did this Black Friday compare to last year in your area?

With all the people coming into the area to shop at the tax free Rehoboth Outlets I stay off the roads.

I'm hoping we hear some good numbers this week, so the rally can continue into Q1.

I went to the local Cabelas on Black Friday. The store opened at 5 am, I was there at 5:45 am and the check out line was from the checkout all the way back to the shoes (that's about 120 yards) and the store was still packed with shoppers.

I stupidly thought it would be OK to take a trip to one of the city's major shopping corridors for a non-black Friday type purchase.

Not. The traffic was utterly insane. I did a U-turn and went home.

This is good, I guess....I hope local retailers are making a profit!

Very busy from what I could tell on the traffic cams

Seriously, people who buy on Black Friday are chumps. Statistically they can get better deals if they only wait a week.

Boring - no shootings or fist fights at any of the local stores.
