I'm sure many on here are aware of the news that came out yesterday concerning King Digital's (KING) IPO filing . Anyway I thought I would put it up for anyone that may have missed it.

If it wasn't for the subway I wouldn't play it, but I also would short this stock if I could. They were just saying that they've lost 1 million users in the last quarter on it. They need another game that has the success of Candy Crush if they plan to stay relevant long term.
Those microtransaction games are very volitile. They need to keep up with the new fads in order to keep people buying or it can be tough. I remember Angry Birds where people were playing it obsessively, and even after a few new releases the same people I know had no idea...they are busy with other fads because it's more of the same.
Zynga has a wider portfolio and it was dumped to be left for dead. It needs to pick up some good games to even stay afloat or a couple fad games to come rocking back. It's so easy to create mobile games with fickle people...too volitile for my blood.
Investment bankers used to somewhat responsible, and not foist any crap shares on the unwitting public. It was ten years of earnings before a company went public. Now, whatever junk sells, IPOs.
