Back in 1989 my then wife dropped an entry form in a supermarket Grand Opening Raffle barrel while she was shopping. We won a new Mercedes Benz, so weird stuff DOES happen. Of course, the odds were much better than the Powerball.

I bought some tickets but I play regularly. 40 million would be more than enough for me.
I'd say majority of people were only playing because it was big.
