good stock to buy and sell
Hi,
I have five thousand to play on the stock market. I like to invest and make more money. I was thinking about buying Google but google is selling for $500. I don't think I will make money on buying google. I saw RIMM, it's around 92. Any other high flying stock?
Thanks.

I don't mean to sound like a bad salesperson, but my stockbroker is A-OK. Yes, they still do stockbrokers because buying many foreign stocks is a more manual process and you require one. Conservative stuff like high yield dividend stocks providing income instead of stock price speculation (profits are redistributed to shareholders rather than fat cats), gold @ the Perth Mint in Australia, or something more speculative like Chinese mining, Singapore cell phone companies, etc. The owner is a Amazon bestselling author and predicted the subprime crisis and dot com bust before they happened. He's a regular pundit on Fox Business, CNBC, and Bloomberg.
Don't speculate with duds like Google who pay no dividends and only profit on luck when you can be in foreign stocks that have far outperformed Apple and Google from trough to peak, if you really want to be that speculative. If you want something conservative, you can get far better returns taking your money out of the dollar and investing abroad. The dollar is only going down from here.
Send me a DM if you're interested since I should not advertise on C/D. I am a client BTW. I make ZERO on any new business. I just like speading the word, and I'm sure there are alternative brokerages that perform the same service anyway, so do your research.

Do yourself a favor... Get a look at "Value Line" publication, free at good libraries. Stay in their #1 ranked stocks. Play it safe. In this market, there is no such thing as a high-flying stock. J.D. Rockefeller was ask what the stock market will do in the future. He said, "It will fluctuate." He would know. You may choose to put $2K in an IRA, also. Bottom-feeding and day-trading are for the thick-skinned.

Buy energy. Everyone needs energy. I say that, but I have no energy stocks. Thing is Vanguard has an energy fund, but you gotta put in 25 grand to get in it. And my wife would KILL me if I lost 25 grand.
I wouldn't trust any stock anyone on a public message board says is a "must buy." Too many variables.

Not sure if this allowable in Mod rules but....I have been getting my tips and help from this website: Small Cap Stock Picks for Growth!
I am a want to be day trader. It fills the void at work sometimes. Five thousand is a lot. Get a good fund. If you want to start playing in buying individual stocks, I would start with the website I found.
One of the gems I picked up is CHIP and RVI. Good luck and be safe!!!
