Got a notice in the mail a couple weeks ago that there was some monies due me from some prior job -- a company that's changed hands at least a couple times in the intervening years, maybe more than a couple. I'm awaiting the check so I can roll it directly into my Rollover IRA at Fidelity and then buy more shares in my portfolio.

This is the second time I've received a payout of sorts that I had no idea would be coming my way. First time I got some shares of T stock (part of a payout from a company sale) and now some pension/retirement payout cash from somewhere else.

I'm happy whenever I add to my retirement investments, but thrilled for an unexpected infusion. I'm laser focused on retirement saving/investments.
