I think there should be only one entry point. There are a gazillion ways to invest. I definitely would've traded out of some -- okay, all -- of my picks before they went down. But, per the rules, I couldn't trade, so I'm fine with that. It would just get too complicated. There's always next year now that any newcomers know this game exists.

I like the game as is, but there's nothing stopping us from making it a separate game with a fiscal rather than calendar year, especially with infrastructure in place. Quarterly starts or something similar. Gives me more times to win. 😀😀😀

multiple games can be run if you want to accommodate varying rules like midstream entries. I like the concept of this game with a discrete time frame of a calendar year to measure performance.

Just to clarify:

Calendar Year = 1/1/XX - 12/31/XX
Fiscal Year = ?/?/?? + 365 days (i.e. 7/1/xx - 6/30/xx+1)

My personal preference is a calendar year since that's how the market performance is generally discussed (of course as well as longer time frames).

NUGT is moving on up. If things stay as crazy as they have been, it could push me higher in the rankings.

Best wishes for 100% returns! And I don't mind if you leapfrog over me as long as it's due to your stocks going up and not mine coming down. But we both have quite a way to go to get to number 6.
