Sorry, I was being too generous with the NASDAQ. It was at 5046 on 11/4/16.

So that's 16 years and 8 months of almost 0 gain.

The NASDAQ fared even worse:

5048 on 3/10/00
5029 on 7/15/16

A whopping 16 years and 4 months of 0 price gain.

Why on earth would you just look at the index value?

DOW futures just opened 132 points lower, which is a lot for futures, especially at the open.

i think we need another week like last week . remember all this excess leverage from the markets being so docile has to come out . this was my biggest fear , that i spoke of .

the machines have to get potential dollar losses from using leverage back in to line and selling breeds more selling as they all pretty much unwind together. eventually the positions match the volatility and things level out . welcome to technology . the same things that drive it up , work in reverse.

everything has a bottom somewhere lol
