This is the quietest Apple announce ever - hardly anyone is even discussing. Probably because the stock has really not moved much lately.

What seems to be a BIG beat by Apple the stock is up marginally (5 points) - but it peaked art 197.80 and is dropping pretty steadily, now 196.80; which makes me wonder if it is going to sell off tomorrow or go higher. In most cases it should go higher the next day. But the recent attitude in the market is to sell off techs almost no matter what.
It's confusing days we are living in.

AAPL has crossed the trillion dollar mark, world's first. Nice jump in the stock price.

Yeah - it kept going higher for two days - long term buyers just now jumping in I am guessing or traders who bailed last quarter due to slow sales of X. Now they are back. I am impressed with the move today but I would not buy in today, AAPL has a history of selling off after big jumps like this and often taking a long time to recover.

It might rise one more day though since it will be on ALL the network news shows tonight - even those non-investors watch. The bump you see at 1:00 happened because it broke and stayed over 1-trillion and many of the news channels reported on it.

If I owned it I would seriously consider taking profits (maybe half) in this range. AAPL rarely goes up this many points in a short amount of time - unless you are a strict buy & hold person.

BTW: I had 192.50 calls - but I sold them yesterday. Wish I hadn't, of course. But that's the market.

I've been holding Apple for years. Only a small amount but have grown it to quite a bit. Wednesday I decided to take a small chance the earnings would be good. I put in a buy order for 10 shares at $190.00 one minute before the bell.
I realized I probably didn't get the order in on time but I got a text from Fidelity that I got 8 shares out of the 10 at $190.

Then I heard the earnings and kicked myself for not putting in a bigger order. Oh, Well!!

Today I planned to sell those 8 shares and take the few hundred bucks but got home late and missed selling.

I expect tomorrow it will sell off....

I bought 50 shares on July 23rd at $188.

Sold all 50 shares today at $205.

I'll take it. Usually a decent pullback after Apple spikes higher.....at least if history repeats itself.
