I spent 15 doing some basic due diligence on the commercial product cost (probably an approximate floor on manufacturing price), recent research findings, and history of the space. Maybe I'm far off but to me it looks like this has the potential to be a repeat of Lovaza & do about a billion dollars of sales each year. If that happens, which is very much uncertain, the company could double or triple again from here. I will not be buying (unless you decide you want to share your wisdom here and it changes my mind) as I'd rather take a fair certain thing than a fair bet, but it appears you did very well (both in terms of present price and probability of ultimate value) in buying before the latest research went public.

Yes, there are other companies that provide cholesterol reducing drugs: Amgen, Saofi, Regeneron, etc. But they are VERY expensive compared to Amarin's Vascepa, AND they have side effects.

So, what will these mega companies do with this small newcomer that has a potentially game-changing drug? Will they play nice and buy it out, or will they play dirty and create a smear campaign to discredit the drug or company (think Judge Kavanaugh)? I can't tell you.

I've sold enough of my position to recoup my original investment, so everything from here on out is gravy. Remember, this is a speculative play, and it isn't for everyone. Please don't put money that you can't afford to lose (see my previous post re speculation).

BTW - I originally posted to speak with others who did get in early.

What do you think about the insider selling in Amarin? They're dumping 8 figure loads.

You'll have more luck goading with those who got in early in the Yahoo conversations boards than here. Almost nobody here has heard of this stock here.

Any other stocks you like?

No, not Insider dumping.

If you look at who actually sold, it was their General Counsel, attorneys. They received Options (1,079,706 shares!), exercised them, and sold them all at the same time.

Attorneys are not in it for the long run - they take their cut, and then move on to chase more ambulances!

Not even remotely the same story.

Amarin has completed a long-running Three-Phase study, and now the results are final.

My financial advisor purchased this stock for me about 6 years ago. He predicted that Amarin had some great products, that once it passed through the FDA maze of regulations, it held great potential. It took some bumps and bruises along the way (including some significant losses shown on my portfolio), but it finally reached the next level of its potential. He sold about 2000 of my 3000 shares last week, and I am still seeing the stock still trading higher.

Sounds like you made out well too, and took some profits to recoup your original investment.

You still have some skin in the game, and remember - it's all with the Casino's money!

Very very unusual financial adviser you have!

Not saying bad, but very few will stick their neck out buying a stock like this for their clients because if it fails they can get sued, and if it succeeds they don't really get much if anything extra!!

Get the car. I’m kind of partial to this bad boy: https://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/m-models/m6.html

Congrats, and good luck.
