Sad, but true. They want you to be dependent on their programs. It guarantees your vote.

And regarding large companies, they are the ones that provide health insurance programs, retirement plans, misc benefits. It's absurd to hate companies like Google and Amazon. How many husband and wife owners give their 10 employees 401ks, etc?

My son is an engineer at one of the tech giants and they have been great to work for. I will say Google scares me with how much they know about you but I guess Facebook and Amazon are almost as bad. I think they have to be regulated but I'm not seeing the advantage of breaking them up.

I doubt there will be antitrust cases that would succeed in breaking up these companies. How would you break them up? Very different from cases in the past such as AT&T, IBM, and Kodak.

Cases I would go after are in healthcare. Hospital mergers and the pharmaceutical industry should be prime targets.
This.

OP, what Socialists are you referring to? The Bernie-ists? Those are the only "Socialists" I'm aware of, who are planning to put forward a candidate.

Biden is getting ready to announce his run in early April. He's still waffling at this point, but his supporters aren't. They're ready. And he has a good chunk of the labor vote behind him. We'll see what happens.

I think it's too early to worry about any consequences of this or that group winning, until all the players are out on the stage.

Yes, regulation is one thing, breaking them up is another. It used to be Democrats hated Walmart because they pay their employees too low and with little benefits. The Socialist Democrats now hate companies like Amazon who pay their employees well and offer huge benefits. It just boggles my mind how they want to control everything... you have to pay more than XXXXX but cannot pay more than XXXXXX.

What employees does Amazon pay and treat well? That's not what I've heard at all. It really depends on the class of employee in question. I've heard Amazon is a sweatshop.

Look at the track record of socialists. They have 0 wins. None. It's only a matter of how badly and quickly the infection spreads before the ship rights course and if it will right course.

If socialists win, you sell ALL equities. You go to gold. Physical specie. With perhaps a little lead.

You don’t have to work for them. My kid stayed away from Amazon.

I don't think these wack jobs will win, Warren and AOC are just extremes on the left, even some Dems take a pause at some of the crazy things they say.

They are all wack jobs, even Larry Summers didn’t like their ideas when he was on CNBC.
