PFE has been a loser in the past 20 yrs because their blockbuster model failed to churn out unicorns and have been on a downward spiral until they hit the jackpot with their vaccine candidate.
In the short term they will definitely benefit from covid but they can't jack up their prices as much as they would like to.

Yeah it's already over $40 but I don't care. I think it keeps running up for a while.
And I put my money where my mouth is and bought 100 shares.

Thoughts?
I think you're on to something.
Why, I bet there aren't any hedge fund managers who speculated on your line of reasoning, say, last summer, bidding up the price of the stock to incorporate that information.

It doesn't matter much because by the time another company can make, test and have an approved product the pandemic may be over. Short of the government taking over their production they basically have no competition other than from MRNA, JNJ and AZ.
No other company can make the PFE vaccine just because the government has waived their patent. Covid vaccine is not like making cold medicine.

I guess that may be. However I am pretty sure they wanted to pitch this is yearly if not bi-annual thing. Also in places like India they will copy it and won’t let perfect get in the way of good enough. Anyway I hope it goes well.
Dude, the technology isn't even Pfizer, it's BioNTech / BNTX.
The perfect time to buy BNTX would have been 3/13/20.
