You have to remember though..Obama has different ideas about Iran. The US plans to sit down face to face with Iran and talk nuclear. Obama does not regard Iran as evil; he wants to cut a deal and restore US relations with them. That said this banking move does not come as a surprise.

in today's tehran times:

U.S. wants Iran hostage suit tossed out

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration has asked a federal judge to throw out a lawsuit against Iran filed by Americans held hostage at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran 30 years ago.

The request comes in a $6.6 billion class-action lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Washington. Fifty-two American diplomats and military officials were held captive for more than a year at the end of Jimmy Carter’s presidency by a group of students who supported the Islamic revolution.

The hostages were released on Jan. 20, 1981.

Of course. The banks are seeing that the United States is drying up in terms of business. We bailed them out the banks and now they going to take our money and do business else where.
