You know, they just released research that determined that people from Mexico are actually human beings too. They just have a slightly darker hue to their skin.
I know it's so depressing that we can't all we white, but their brains and family values do tend to function much like your own.
Why do people have such problems with hispanics? You do realize that if this country was born on those prejudice views, we'd be sitting in a land full of white British people. Chances are 95% of the people on this forum wouldn't have been allowed to live in the United States. Especially those dirty Irish, Germans and Italians. Avoid them at all cost.

West Liberty is full of illegal aliens, they have over half the school spanish, English is a second language there! There is no extra help for the "white/english" children who need extra help, because all their extra help and funding goes to the ESL(English as a second language) kids, you will have to pay for your kids to go to Silvan learning center or somewhere if help is needed. We know from a family experience. Would never recommend this school system for anyones children. There is high crime, tons of drugs and gang activity in West Liberty. Most of this is kept quiet and not published in local newspapers. They do not want people to know that this stuff happens in their town. Police scanners are a great way to hear what really goes on there as far as crimes.
I would recommend West Branch or Solon communities. They are very nice, quiet small towns, with low crime and great schools. Equally close to Iowa City also.

Also, there is no stop light, there is 1 "flashing red" light, if you consider that a stop light. There is nothing to do in this town either. Especially with your children, it is just not safe. You can't send your children to the parks by themselves, no would I let my child walk around town by themselves.
Just not a good family town. I guess they do have some good Mexican food, that is the upside of things!
Yes Hispanics are people too, but why do they publish police reports for the white people and not the mexicans? Do you know how many times the police get called to El Palinka (the mexican bar in town) for drugs and fighting and them having knives, guns and stabbing/shootings? Not to mention when they bust them for drugs in town, it's weird that it never makes the local papers!?!?!? If it were me or my friends that got busted for Cocaine, I'm sure it would make the 6:00 news!
Its white descrimination in this West Liberty, IA!

West Liberty and other towns like it in Iowa are MORONIC for letting this crap go on. They must not realize what a nice place they had - I have generations and generations of family in the area and there were never problems until the Mexicans came.
No I'm not racist, and no I don't think it's all Hispanics - but no one can deny illegals cause trouble.
Makes me red in the face.

West Liberty is a small, small town. Three schools - an elementary that runs pre-K thru 2nd grade, a middle school that runs 3rd through 8th, and combines 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, & 7th/8th classes, and a high school. It is a commuters distance away from Iowa City and the Quad Cities.

Well let me enlighten you here...this country was built on prejudice views. Thomas Jefferson, John Rutledge, and James Madison all were founders of slavery in America. So please tell me again that this country was not born on prejudice views.
Anyway, I grew up in West Liberty, lived the majority of my life there. There is not a high crime rate and no there is not a high traffic of drugs. Yes there is a small amount of crime, yes there is a small amount of drugs, but remember folks, this is just another town in America. It's typical. West Liberty is not a big town nor is it a tiny town. There are a lot of things to do anytime of the day. During the summer there are dirt track races *and i must say West Liberty has the best dirt track in Iowa*, there is a fair and it's pretty good county fair *way better than its neighboring fair, Johnson County*, there's a dance club in West Liberty for everyone. There are also a lot of nice places to eat. I remember waking up on the weekends and walking down to the drug store. They have a soda fountain there and really cheap candy. Mmmm Mmmm... Anyway, as far as the Mexicans, yes there is a lot but so what. West Liberty probably wouldn't be as economically sturdy as it is now without the Mexicans. So before you call it Lil Mexico or Wet Liberty, just think of where you would be with your little fast foods too, because of the Mexicans West Liberty Foods is probably one of the biggest contributators towards Subway and many more.

When I think about how little is being done about illegal immigration and border security, I have to ask the question.....
Is Steve King a god or just a mortal man ?

I would avoid this town like the plague. At one time it was a very nice town with a solid main street, things to do (race track especially), and a good employment base (primarily the Louis Rich plant). It has since been absolutely overrun with Mexicans who have made it their mission to destroy the inner city part of town.
At least 1/2 the kids in the school are hispanic and the numbers are growing. The numbers of gangster wannabees who absolutely don't care about learning and are there solely to disrupt the school are enumerable.
For all the people posting about how wonderful diversity is sitting in their nice, safe, suburban neighborhoods, go to West Liberty and take a stroll after dark. Your rainbow playland, liberal ideas will get shot down real quick.

Prime example of the stupidity of people! Have you lived there? Have you spent all your life there? I have and no I'm not Mexican, I'm white. I love the little town it's it ignorant people like you that make it out to be bad. I would let my kid walk around that neighbor hood anytime of the day or night. You know why? Because its a small town and everyone knows everyone. We look out for our neighbors here. So maybe you should just take a step back and think about what you're saying
