Hello,

Looking to purchase a home, and like the single family homes with hardwood floors. We've only found a couple with very little sq. footage in our price range in Coralville, and we're starting to get discouraged. One of us will be at UofI, and the other working in Cedar Rapids. Is it better to buy in Cedar Rapids?

We've been able to find maps of the areas in Cedar Rapids affected by the 2008 flooding, but not Coralville. Does anyone know where I can find a home map of Coralville affected by the flooding?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I suppose it is true that IC and Coralville lack the kind of neighborhoods with the small, older, single-family homes that tend to have hardwood floors. What is your price range?

Also, how about finding something a bit cheaper than you were looking for and then having hardwood floors put in? IC/Coralville and Cedar Rapids have very different vibes, so if you like the Iowa City area, I wouldn't give up too soon.
