Hampton
Can anyone tell me anything about Hampton, IA?
except for it's location (of course)
I had an interview there, and want to know more about the town before I accept any offer.
thanks!

My husband and I lived in Latimer, about 9 miles west of there for 3 years. Nice area, alot of hog and chicken farms around there so it can get kind of smelly. Hampton seems to be a nice town as it is close to Mason City, Iowa Falls which is pretty nice town, lived there too for about 2 years.

i was born and raised in hampton, moved away to okla. to attend college and have moved back to help with my father. depending what your looking for hampton is a decent town but is a little backwards and slow to change. the people will be involved in your life whether you want it or not. but it's easy to escape to surrounding towns

So it's just like every other small town in the Midwest!

Jay
do you know a Ron Bumba from 'New Hampton'? I went pheasant hunting around New Hampton once and there were a lot of birds back then.

Hampton Info
Has anyone gotten back to you about Hampton. I have lived here sine 1994 and we love it. Good schools, cheap living, good golf course, new fitness center, several good bars. But still close enough to Mason City or Waterloo if you need to do some shopping.

Hampton will always be home.
I was born and raised in Hampton. It's definitely small town Midwest living, but it's a great town to raise kids in. This is a town that needs open-minded people and people that are willing to go against the grain to bring change. This town is beoming more and more diverse and so many are against it. Please make yourself at home and enjoy the culture.... you'll call it home in no time.
I may not live in Hampton, Iowa anymore, but it will always be home, no matter where I may I roam.
