Default Moms-can you tell me about quad city area

Hi,
Can any moms tell me about the quad city area? Are there any mom's groups? Are there a lot of places to go or activities to do with children? What are the schools like? Are the public schools okay? My husband and I may be moving to the area in May and my daughter will be a year by then. I want to make sure that where ever we move, it is kid friendly and there will be a lot of other great stay at home moms to be friends with.

The quad city area is nice...depends on where you live. I have a 3 yo and a 1yo and we always have stuff to do. There is a MOPS group here for moms, and there are different places in the area for Mommy & me type stuff starting at 18mo like a music class, art class. The grade schools have a story time once a week for kids birth-5yo that is fun too. There are parks to play as well.
It really depends on where you want to live, rural or city. If you want you can PM me and I can give you more specific areas where to look for housing. Schools are also good, not much of an overcrowding problem here and there are good teachers too. I only really know about the ones on the Iowa side (Illinios is only 5 min away once you cross the bridge). Let me know if I can help
