Default Looking for a town to live!!!!

We just recently move to Des Moines ... we are looking for a town to buy a house...( around $230 )My husband will be working in downtown Des moines
any suggestion will be welcome! we are looking for town that has good schools , safe environment , good parks and shopping places.
someone suggested us ANKENY, CLIVE, WAUKEE ??? are there any other towns that we can consider???

All of those suggestions are good. I'd go with Ankeny if you want good parks, just due to the proximity of Saylorville. Ankeny might be a little cheaper than the Western suburbs, but I don't know that for a fact.

Pleasant Hill wouldn't be too bad either. Pretty much all of the suburbs offer what you're looking for.

All three meet your requirements. Finding a house for $230 in Clive might be a challenge, but seems reasonable in Ankeny or Waukee.

Ankeny will have the easiest commute to Downtown.
