Default Moravia area

I have descendents buried in Salem Cemetery near Moravia, Iowa. I would like to learn the location of the cemetery, and information about location of graves inasmuch as I would like to visit same in the near future. Thank you.

Default Salem Cemetary location

I have family members buried in this cemetary as well. I found it by going north on route 5 from Centerville Iowa towards Moravia. At the blinking warning light you turn left (west) on route J18 which is away from Moravia. Moravia is right (east) on J18.

You go a couple of miles down and the cemetary is on the left (south) side of the road.

Your family surname isn't Brees by any chance is it?

Thanks, John H

Another resource to try is Find A Grave - Millions of Cemetery Records Volunteers there will photograph cemeteries and many cemeteries are already online. Also Appanoose County, Iowa GenWeb Cemeteries Unfortunately, Appanoose county was not indexed in the WPA graves project Iowa WPA Graves Registration Survey but that is a great resource for many other counties.
