We have no issues with steroes, but we do have some motorcycle enthusiasts nearby. They generally aren't out past 11pm or so, and not that often. Now I can't vouch for every part of town, and I imagine that the apartment or student lots might have more car stereos going at all hours.

My sister lives on 23rd st. in Bettendorf, she complains about sounds of traffic in general. But what'a ya gonna do, it's a main drag.

I wouldn't think the QCA is any louder than any comparable sized city.

It all depends on where you live. My little cul-de-sac in Bettendorf is too quiet for my liking. My girlfriend lives on a main street and there's some car noise at night but nothing too bad. I imagine it could be loud right off Kimberly, Locust, Division, etc. just because of the amount of traffic each street gets.

That must be nice. Rare I can even go outside here without hearing someone's stereo on blast the entire time I'm outside. Dogs waking me up barking at 4:00 am. People screaming and partying all night with loud music. Just tired of it and am considering moving. Just selfish people in the neighborhood I guess with no respect. Considering moving perhaps more out in the country. I'm not on a main drag at all. There's no perfect place but hoping it'll be a little more quiet and peaceful.
