Default Congregational Church, Eddyville, Iowa

I am trying to locate baptismal records from the Congregational Church that was in Eddyville, Iowa. My mother was bapitized in the church around 1930-31. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Default I may have info on your family from Eddyville

Hi Paula,

My name is Dee and I have connections to Eddyville also. My gggrandparents raised their family in Eddyville from 1860 to 1892. I was just in Salt Lake City last month doing some research and I came across a number of books about Eddyville. You can also go to the familysearch.org site (LDS site) and look through their library to see what they may have. My family also attended the First Congregational Church in Eddyville. It would be great if we could help each other find our relatives. Do you live in Iowa? I am way out west in Idaho so I don't have the means to go. But I am certainly willing to share my info if I can help. My family names were: Wroth/Bowman/Schwinderman, but I'm always willing to help someone else find their family. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance. Good Luck

Thank you,
Dee

I was raised in the old church. By the mid 70's, after some 130 years, it was in poor shape so we merged with the Reformed Church, into what I believe is now Faith Community Church, 708 N 3rd St, Eddyville, IA 52553 (641) 969-4823. If Charles Oldham or his wife are still in the area, they may have the records or know where there are.
