Moving to Fort Madison, iowa
Hey
We are a family of 4 moving to Fort Madison, Iowa from Denmark next Year.
We are looking for a small house to rent for 1 year. Does anyone have some good contacts?

good luck to you in finding a suitable rental home in or near Ft Madison. I don't think there is much there except for the maximum security state prison.

We are a family of 5 looking to relocate in Fort Madison, Iowa. We are looking to move in February or March of 2009. We are looking for a 3-4 bedroom house. If you have any ideas on how we can go about this please let me know.  I am moving quit a distance and am new at it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Try posting a new thread, then you will get better results.
I don't know much about Fort Madison anymore since it's been years since I lived down there...... I WILL warn you, if you are not familiar with the area.... just... get prepared. :/ It's not your typical clean small Iowa town. But I could definitely find benefits of living there at the same time. Good luck and go to Vels Amigos for me!! |

I take it you're moving here for the Siemens company? I have a friend in Burlington Iowa who works there, she spent 5 or 6 weeks in Denmark last year, training for her job here in Fort Madison. Good luck with your move, I hope you enjoy the stay here. I'm about 70 miles north of there, so I really don't know the rent/lease availabilities there, but my friend at Siemens may be able to help if you really need it.

I also have a 3-5 bedroom home for sale in the Burlington area. A great home for a large family!! My kids are gone now and downsizing to a smaller home. Please check it out on realtor.com. 317 S. Gunnison St.
