I am moving to the Cedar Rapids ( probably just outside the city) by January of 2008. I have found a lot of things online by going to the cities websites, doing searches, and by talking to some people whom I have met online. There are a few things that I haven't been able to find, and this is where you kind people will hopefully answer my questions. I hope this isn't too much trouble but just know that this will be extremely appreciated. If you have any other information that you think would be helpful please feel free to add it in. *What cell phone service is in the area?
*What are the basic utilities that a renter would have and what is normally included within rents (generally speaking):ie, gas, cable, water?
*How easy or hard is the Cedar Rapids area to navigate?
*How are the manufacturing jobs in the Cedar Rapids area and in Iowa overall?
*Are you aware of any sliding scale clinics for the uninsured?
*Is there anything else that I should be aware of?
Just some FYI: I am a single female, 27, no kids, own my own vehicle, and work making electirc ignition coils in the manufactoring field.I hope to go back to school for business but I need to be able to find a full time finding work is extremely important.
