Default High-Speed Internet Access in Janesville and Waverly?

Hello everyone,

We're wanting to relocate to the Cedar Valley area (job opp in Waterloo) and we're really looking at the Janesville/Waverly area after reading all the posts about Waterloo. Are there decent high-speed options in the Janesville/Waverly areas? I know CF has a great fiber infrastructure, but we're wanting housing that's a little more affordable.

Any insights would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

bish

There are high speed internet options in Janesville. I have several contacts there and have construction going on in town. I am not sure, however what service providers my contacts in Janesville use. I would suggest checking out netINS - Iowa's Internet Provider initially. They seem to be all over Iowa. The school in Janesville just renovated their computer lab as part of a larger project and I know students work online.

Also, I know people in Waverly who have good high speed internet, but I am not sure what options are. With the college there and 1,800 students connected, there must be options available.

Check out the Waverly Area Development Group at www.wadg.waverlyia.com . Maybe they could answer your questions, as they serve both towns!

Good luck and welcome to Northeast Iowa!

My family still lives in Waverly and they have Mediacom high speed internet (cable tv and internet). We have a pretty extensive at home network and it functions pretty well most days. I wouldn't be able to tell you the price since I don't pay the bills and don't live there anymore.
