Yeah, there were 5 murders in Des Moines last year. I believe that's the total for the whole are of 550,000 people.

Hell, if you count all the murders for the largest cities together......

Des Moines
Iowa City
Dubuque
Waterloo
Sioux City
Ames
Council Bluffs

You're still only talking 11 murders for over 1,150,000 people. The entire state only had 38 murders, or 1.3 for every 100,000 people. Georgia's rate is almost 5 times that number.

That's too bad. I guess now that I think about it you rarely hear anyone say "Oh, I'm going to CompUSA", although I'll admit the closest one to me is far away in West Des Moines.

I went to CompUSA on occasion, just to see Apple computers, but once the Apple Store opened at Jordan Creek, well no need. I used to buy tech stuff there, but end up on the internet these days so no need to go I guess.
I wonder if he moved out this way, seem to be plenty of jobs if he did.
