Neat! What do you think the route will be this year? I hope it's a southern route. I know those are the worst for the bikers but I guess I'd really like to see it go through my hometown for once...

it should be a southern route. it seems it has been central or north for the last few years. i wish that it would end in bettendorf for a change too.

If I remember right, it hasn't been through Des Moines proper or ended in the Quad Cities for a few years, hasn't it?

I guess the reason behind it not ending in Davenport cause the davenport paper and des moines paper had some kind of a feud or something. i don't know the whole story but that is what i heard. it is too bad though cause it would be a great place to end up.

With how fast des moines is growing i don't think they will be in des moines proper again, at least as an overnight stop. there is just too much traffic. it did have an overnight at ankeny a few years back, which isn't too far from des moines. and just a couple years ago it had an overnight in waukee, which is very close too.
