I'm not originally from Des Moines and I have plenty of family in Muscatine. Been there lots and lots.

I'm sure Muscatine is a nice town and all, but you lost me with this statement. Des Moines is about 14 Muscatines and a bag of chips.

Wow-Once again am I suppose to be impressed.
Des Moines population is 190,000. Now lets do the Math here metro-importanto 223.
190,000/23,000 = 8.26
Your math is a little bit off.
And again you think you and Des Moines are way more important than you really are.
Maybe you should get a life or a date and stop spending so much time posting things to this website. I see you have over 500 postings!!
Do you have any friends???? God knows you probably dont know any girls.

metro pop isnt the city pop tickytackyticker. my math isn't off. I have 1,677 posts, going on 1,678 with this one. Stick around and you'll find the site addicting - and you'll even make friends on here!!
On a normal day, I wouldn't bash Muscatine - it's really not as bad as I made it sound. I guess I was just feeling extra spicy that day.
God knows me, that's true - but let's leave that one to God TickyTacker.

Get a life man. You just responded to that in 15 seconds.
If Des Moines is so blistering sweet why dont you find something better to do. I did live in Des Moines-and I am not saying it was terrible, I actually liked some things about it.But if you think Des Moines is big-then you need to get out a little bit and stop posting 1600 comments to this website. The Quad Cities is bigger than Des Moines if you want to count the Metro area and add them all together. Who does that?????
I am not trying to be nasty toward you-but i did meet alot of people there who thought they were way too sweet.
Your Des Moines register just ranked Muscatine as having the most millionaires per capita in the state of Iowa. We also have the Corporate headquarters of more Fortune 500 companies here than Des Moines.
So dip your chips in that. If you really want to rate someones town why dont you give the good and the bad.
The Des Moines register also ranked several of your Des Moines area schools as very poor achievers their freshmen year at the regent Universities.
I ask for your forgiveness if I offended you too much. But please inform people of both sides-if you do in fact understand the demographics. I could have gotten on here and said alot of negative things about Des Moines and left out all of the good things. Can we be at peace-after all we both live in a corn field.

Des Moines Metro (06) - 534,230.
Quad Cities (06) - 377,291.
That's off topic and irrelevant, but you were wrong. And everyone looks at metro populations.
As for putting "get a life," and "I'm not trying to be nasty" in the same sentence. Good luck trying to make sense out of that.
As for saying "after all, we both live in a corn field." Is this supposed to be like a - "we're both dealing with this horrible situation, let's not make it worse for each other" type of statement? As if living in an agricultural state is something we just have to tough out?
Well, the answer to your question is, yes, we can be at peace tickytack. Hope that makes your day!
