Congrats to you then on your long-anticipated move which is apparently coming to fruition soon!
May I ask as to how long your property was for sale & if it was in the city proper?
You will check back in here from out there, right?

Yes, I will still be here! I am the "official" mod for this and all forums in the Iowa folder

My house is in the city of Des Moines proper. Was on the market a long 7 months. UGH.

Forecast for today in Des Moines: High of 46, low 29 with PM showers. My new city: High of 94 and sunny, low 64. Can't wait to get there and away from here! (Had to scrape my windshield today! ACK! )

At least it sold! I was going to email you at one time and ask to see it, but then I learned it wasn't in the areas I was exploring and didn't want to waste anyone's time. I'm so glad it sold for you before December!

Sorry the weather is too cold for you. I'm loving it!

(It may help that my car lives in a garage - no scraping in the mornings)

My house is REALLY nice. I will miss it very much. Just a few pics. (4BR, 1 Bath, 1331 square feet)

In particular I like the old style woodwork around the windows & the finish on them.
Something had told me that you would not be living in a new ticky tacky house on a street that had 12 just like it all in a row.

I, too, like the wood and all the natural light. Nice house!

Sorry for the temporary diversion from the topic, guys.

Back to humidity, I was feeling the bone chilling-ness of it this morning! Brrrr!!!

I don't know the current humidity readings but I just posted on the Des Moines chat thread that I checked in at weather.com a few minutes ago & discovered that Des Moines was 12 degrees warmer this morning than our reading down here at the Atlanta airport. Additionally, Des Moines was 1 degree cooler than the temperature on the Gulf at Panama City Beach, Fl. So, enjoy a beautiful fall day up there today!
