Democrat turnout outnumbers GOP by 2-1 (broken link) -QCTimes
So there's your answer to that. They both had good turnout, but the Democrats did better.

Linn mar was packed with Republican caucus goers. We didnt get started until 7:30 because so many people had to register. There were people standing because we ran out of seats in the auditorium! It was a great turnout for both sides I think.

Huckabee is from Arkansas which is still the south in my opinion.
Some people could make the argument that the NW corner of Arkansas is more "midwestern"

Because we've already had one senile conservative republican actor as president and that was more than enough.

Shoot, you're right! After all, this is the state that elected Bourke Hickenlooper! (A fact which is memorialized in the original script of the musical "Pajama Game")

The so-called senile conservative won the cold war, was responsible for bringing down the Berlin wall, brought the economy back out of Carter's hell-hole recession, etc. Seems like he did damn good job to me.

Because this is a LIBERAL state! We have 6% accross the board sales taxes, LO taxes in every county, high income taxes, high property taxes, extremely high cigarette taxes, and the highest in the nation corporate tax structure.
Is it any wonder the people are afraid of a business man? If you ask me people in Iowa are ignorant to the rest of the world. They figure that a nice talking man is all it takes to do the job when we really need somebody with conservative principles like Thompson or at least a man w/business sense like Romney who can balance the budget and cut spending.
IOWA - Idiots out walking around!

I fail to see why Ron Paul didn't do better. I'm disappointed. I've never voted Democrat, but I very well might vote for Obama. Better Obama than Huckabee.

It would be kinda fun if Chuck did an ad for Huckabee, like a "Messin' with Chuck" ad.
Chuck would be offered a ride by two guys who keep pulling away when he gets close to their car door. They yell "sorry buddy" each time, then Chuck gets pissed and launches one of them.
Although he might get sued by that beef jerky company for infringement.
