Good luck to you both, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, although the winters are a bit colder up here.

Warmer than where I am right now! -12 ambient -42 wind chill in Grand Forks, North Dakota right now. I am actually looking forward to DSM winters compared to what I have been through up here.

I think you'll really enjoy living in Pella. I'm from another small town in Iowa, but my parents and sister moved to Pella about 8 years ago. My parents both work in the school district. The schools in Pella are amazing!! My nephew is in kindergarten and has wonderful teachers and tons of friends. By the way, my family is NOT Dutch ) It's such a family-oriented town with so many different activities for the kids, you're sure to meet lots of people that way. Summers are a lot of fun in Pella...the public pool is great, Lake Red Rock is right around the corner, and they have Thursday nights in the Square. Good luck with the move!
