I think that tends to go without saying doesn't it? Obviously people have differing opinions about these types of matters, which is probably why people come on this forum and start threads or read posts. I'm not trying to be COMPLETELY sarcastic, but I believe the thread-starter was asking for advice on which towns to consider living in, and I was simply stating that in my opinion there isn't much to do in places like Oskaloosa or Pella. I should think that I would have a pretty good idea as well, considering I grew up in Osky and spent 20+ years of my life there. And Pella is a whopping 16 miles away from there, so I probably have a good idea of what there is going on there as well.

Default Going to Pella

Hi!
I am from Spain and I am going to Central College as Spanish assistant next year. I am really excited about the college and I think, as far as I know, that Pella is quite a beautiful place. The only thing that worries me a bit is that in Spain we are used to a lifestyle where nightlife is quite important, here at 9vpm in a week day the bars are full, young people are in the streets hanging out (the weather plays an important part in that). So I don't know if I will have that there or what. Can someone talk to me a bit about life in Pella?
Thank you very much!
Leticia

If you're looking for bar nightlife, you chose the wrong college town. Head to Des Moines or Iowa City with your friends when you can if want a bar/club scene.
