Gotcha. It kind of sounds like Outer Limits in Des Moines. |

The Hooters is going in near the Mid America Center.
It also should be noted that Star Cinema is adding an IMAX screen... making it the metro's second. |

I've seen the mall, its called Mall of the Bluffs... from the outside it looked sort of ho-hum, I also have a co-worker who used to work there and said it loses all of its business to the Omaha malls.

OK, I guess I need to understand the area better. If we were to buy a house in Council Bluffs on property...is that away from the city? How is the area set up? Where I live, we don't have a major city...but there is a city and then the county. We would not be looking to live in the busy city but in the more rural areas. Are all the schools in the city limits? Can someone answer this?
The cities I am familiar with are New York and DC. Is CB a busy, hub-bub place like those cities or is it a more small town feel? |

There are many areas in the county to live in that are close to Council
Bluffs. The Lewis Central School District is in rural Council Bluffs and is quite good. Also Underwood , Treynor and Glenwood are close by in rural areas. |

I think for the most part in IA/Nebraska, once you leave the city/Suburbs ... you are right in the middle of rural... making it pretty easy to live in the country by the city. Some exceptions would be all of the spread out neighborhoods between Cedar Rapids and IA City. But Pottowatamie (sp) is one of the largest counties by land area in the state, and there is pleanty of rural as CB only takes up a small portion of the county.
