just wanted to comment on the smell in Clinton. I have lived here for almost 18 years with a 8 year leave in between. I have ashma and live off of Social Security. The smell is allot worse than some of these people let on. I live in the upper central part near the court house and I can tell you during the summer months it is just as strong as in South Clinton. They also allow people to burn trash in open barrels and also burn leaves during the fall and with all that, it is horrible. Yes, the property is cheap but wages have gone down. Also , since 2000 the population has droped almost 5 percent and dropped before that also. That in itself is not a good sign for a growing city and I'm hoping to move from here as so as I can. My girl friend is from Aimes. She is a registered therapist and that was the first comment she made when she first came here and still does. I would very much look for another place to live if I were anyone and certainly will be happy to move to a more progressive area.

Default For profit Ashford bought Mt St Clare in 2005.

Unfortunately as Clinton declined, losing its manufacturing base as did so many small towns across America, Mt St Clare College/Franciscan University (est. 1918) - experienced a financial decline. So much so that they sold their school to Bridgepoint Education which created "Ashford University." See the details below:
