I've lived in MP for 4 years and really love the town. There isn't huge shopping- Super Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee and several local shops in the downtown area. We are 20 minutes from Burlington which has more shopping and a mall- and only 40 minutes or so from Iowa City and all of it's opportunities. The hospital are good and the schools are very strong in academics and sports. The town is a great place for families and has many opportunities.

i was born and raised in mp. wonderful town. not a lot of shopping but the necessity places. it's only a short trip to Burlington with a mall and 45 min to Iowa city/coralville. the school system is great. it's a consolidated school, with all the smaller towns. my graduating class was only 160. great athletes, smart kids and teachers. the hospital is fairly close, but we sometimes say they aren't the greatest.
