Son transferred needs apartment in Cedar Falls
My son has been trasfeered to Waterloo. After looking around at all the posts I think he would be better in Cedar Falls. I can't seem to find any apartment ads for that area. under $600. one bedroom no pets, non smoker.
Thank you for any information.

DM me for more info, there are limited choices in Waterloo/Cedar Falls for apts, but not impossible. There is a complex that is fairly nice and I'm sure in your price range, that I can't find on here. Intersection of Cedar Hgts Dr and Greenhill Rd in Cedar Falls... they're a beige color, maybe he could check into those. Also I know Lantern Square (in this link) in Waterloo isn't bad, it's by Sunnyside Country Club I believe.

I attended school at Hawkeye Community College for a couple of years. I lived all over that town, but your best bet is away from the campus near Main Street or along Waterloo Rd/12th. Or another suggestion would be near the down town area, often the buisnesses down town have apartments up above for rent too.

JMZ is right, but be quick if you want one above a business downtown, I hear they go really fast!

I used to live in Cedar Falls and drive through there daily. Contact Hill Realty, they may have something for him. Also.....stay away from the college area unless he is a college student. I'm sure he can find something for less than $600 a month. Cedar Falls is much safer than Waterloo and there is a lot to do. Good luck.

Apartment in Cedar Falls
I have several apartments I can rent to you for less than 600.00 in Cedar Falls. They are close to UNI but I have several non student residents that are quite happy I also have an apartment in Grundy Center that is only a 30 min commute and is only $350.00 and that includes heat!

We are looking for something that is not in a complex or on the hill. We would love something in a residential area or on mainstreet but I dont know who to contact. This is a very late reply to this thread but i'm wondering if someone could help me with places to rent in Cedar Falls, IA. I will moving there for graduate school. I really dont want to live in an apartment complex, don't really want to live on the hill...My boyfriend and I are looking for a nice place, somewhat away from campus. We would love to live above a mainstreet business or rent an apartment out of a residential neighborhood...we would really like a place with some character but I am having so much trouble finding the right person contact. If you know anyone or any realty that leases these types of places that would be so helpful! We dont mind paying a little more for a nicer place!
Thanks

Places above businesses on Main St. are going to be a little hard to come by as there aren't many and if there are - they are usually already taken.
They are working on a project of mixed use development near downtown which I believe will include apts. So maybe after that's done you could live down there. College Square Apartments are OK, but they seem a little dated to me.
I know of a couple newer places - but don't know the name. I'll just give you the intersections. Cedar Heights and Greenhill behind a dentistry place. Also - W. 27th and Hudson Rd. Behind a big parking lot. However - the second one will surely have many college students.
Also check out Thunder Ridge apts - in a nice area, however, dated, once again. But that's Cedar Falls for you - they don't offer much in the apt genre for some reason.

My family is relocating to cedar falls/iowa city area. Do you have any 2/3 bedroom rentals that include heat? Grundy Center is an option if the right apartment is located there. I have 3 kids. So I will need an apt complex that also has children. Thank you *Amanda*
