Sun Dogs. Ames, IA, ISU Research Park. When I first moved to IA from WI, I had never even heard of Sun Dogs before and was simply in awe! They are really one of the most exciting things Mother Nature has to offer, IMVHO. :-)

New here, native Iowan, and I have to add a shot I took just last weekend. This is going northbound on I-380 between Cedar Rapids and Waterloo. For a few brief, beautiful minutes, the sunset tipped the clouds in the most beautiful fuschia-pink color. I caught it toward the end. I apologize for the blur, as this was taken via my cellphone, through the windshield of dad's truck as we were moving along.

I took a trip to Dubuque yesterday and took some pictures, so I thought I'd post a few. I hadn't been into Dubuque much, and I must say I am very impressed. I think Dubuque has some of the most beautiful old homes that I have ever seen.
