Brave because of snow? Thank you! But... really its 3-4 months of the year. I guess I don't concur with everyone that when they picture Iowa they picture an arctic wonderland. Personally I picture being outside in the summer, and all of the green fields and plains with hot weather. Maybe people are just thinking this way because spring still isn't quite here. It'll be here.

Winter makes you appreciate the other 3 seasons more than someone in say, Phoenix, where its essentially summer all the time.

Here are some from today, you are all probably sick of seeing this same scenery, but maybe I'll start to venture out again in < than 1 month when spring starts.

I changed the color on this, and it reminds me of The Wizard of Oz, I should have edited in a twister.

Your traditional farmhouse and barn on the plains.

...sun.

I LOVE the spruce trees by the farmhouse. We have a hard time growing those in KS because of the warm climate here.

That's too bad! I like them too! I can't even picture a farmhouse without them! The majority of farms in Iowa have that exact same tree line, or one similar - usually on the North and West perimeters of the yard.

Here's an image to warm you up after all these winter shots.

This is from Vander Veer Park in Davenport.
