My family and I are considering moving to the West Union area. Can anybody tell me about the area? Good or bad. Thanks for your help.

My boyfriend has family who lives there. It's a quaint little town, but I don't know how much is going on there. He said recently that parts of it are known to flood, but I don't know which parts (sorry!). I saw it for the first time at Thanksgiving last year and I liked it, but I don't know if I'd want to live there. I'm more of a city kid and I wonder if I could take the culture shock. Good luck!

Don't look for a thriving night life or much to so. most people go to Taped Out or some other bar. there are races in the summer but not much for families unless you go to Waterloo, Oelwein or Decorah. Not to mention the same families have kived in the area for years. my majority of my husband family is still there and doesn't plan to move. A small town are hard to get into if you are not a 'native'
