I'm willing to bet that US 20 will be 4-laned in the near future from the Galena area to Freeport, and I believe from Freeport to Rockford it's already 4-lane and obviously from there you would just hop on i-90 into the city. Just a guess though - it would be nice for people in Dubuque that's for sure. (Galena to Freeport isn't that long of a stretch to widen)
