Currently I live inOrland Park, IL near Chicago, IL. Thinking of renting a place something small like a studio or efficiency How much would rent fora small place cost? If this is not the correct forum please let me know. Could I live on $30,000 a year? Thanks.

Because Eldridge is a tiny town/bedroom community. 3 taverns and no movie theatre type of town. It's a place for families that want to live on an acre.

You could live in 'the district' of Rock Island, IL. and still only be 20 minutes from Eldridge.

It has hotels and few chain places. ACE, Mcdonalds, ect. There are several cheap apartments. The job is actually on/in Park View. I like Park View what you got on it?

Wish I could help you out, but I've only been to Eldridge a few times. Couldn't tell you about rent prices, but I would pick it over Davenport any day. Seems like a nice clean small town. The best part of being there is, you are only a few minutes away from all the major shopping in northern Davenport without having to deal with all the traffic living in Davenport itself.

Parkview would be similar to Eldridge, but I believe a little smaller in population. Also it is just minutes from the major shopping areas in Davenport. If you think you would like small town living, either place would be nicer in my opinion, than living in Davenport.

As you can probably tell, I am not fond of living in big busy cities, don't know how anyone can stand living in someplace as large as the Chicago area. I like living where I do, because I can get across the whole town in 15 minutes or less, I can get to work in under 2 minutes. To each their own, but life is too short for me, to waste it away sitting in traffic.

Depends on if you want to be close to night life activities really. Downtown Davenport, and Rock Island Ill. seem to be going through a revival lately. Lots of remodeled loft/studio apartments in those areas it seems.

The job I interviewed for is in park view. They seem to be building more houses in park view. Park view seems like a mix of newer homes, older homes, condominiums. And apartments. Is there section in park view?
