I have a student that will be entering high school next year, who has Down Syndrome and is also needs hearing aids. I want to know where are the BEST school districts or communties that offer good programs and services for the special needs population. I am looking to move in the summer. I would also be looking for a para-educator position or something like a mail clerk position.
I would also be looking to buy a house preferably in a rural-type area. Thank you very much for your honest input, asap. |

By far Iowa City. Good school systems. The University Hospital is there and can help and the U always has job openings. Not always the 'ideal' positions but decent pay and awesome benefits (BC?BS, Dnetal, Life, retirement) You could live in a mall toen and open enroll youe child to IC based on better wuality education andher needs will be met better.
good luck |
