1997 - 2002. Was there for grad school (trumpet player), mainly, and I frequented the Fenway area, and then I worked at E&Y in Copley (Hancock Tower) during the day for about 3 years before we moved to NYC.
Was just on the Sons of Sam Horn forum, looking at pics of all the renovations being done to the park...awesome pics. Fenway Renovations for 2008 Season - Sons of Sam Horn
I'm ready for Opening Day in Fenway, man. But this year, I'll be watching it on TV.

That's funny, they put a plastic red chair where the red seat is. Can't wait to get back there this summer.
Good ol' Fenway Pahk...

I see a lot of Cubs and Royals gear in the stores in Des Moines when I visit there, different from the Minnesota Twins gear I find in South Dakota. It is interesting to see what type of following is there for sports teams.

I ran for RSN governor and lost to some guy who fell off the face of the earth. There are tons of RS fans in the area...I run into them all the time. I would be very interested in finding someplace where like minded can get together for games.

I like the Cubs but since they haven't won a series since 1903 or whatever, I go with the best team the midwest has ever had, the Saint Louis Cardnials. As for the Red Sox, they broke their cold streak several years back and certainly are a good team. Like seeing them beat the Yankee's when they get a chance. The Royals and Twins are weak, but you might some fans around Iowa that like them. If your gonna pick a loser, IMO stick with the Cubs.

huh? How do you put the Twins & Royals in the same catagory (other than the fact they are both small market teams from the midwest) by calling them both "weak"? Unlike the Royals, the Twins put competative teams on the field year in and year out.
There a lot of Twin's fans in Iowa, especially in the northern part of the state.

Well, the Twins are better than the Royals, Twins beat the Braves in the series of 1991 and the Royals last WS victory was 1985 against the Cardinals, both were very exciting WS events that went down to the wire. Still better to root for the Royals or Twins than throwing away hope on the Cubs. Twins are at least hanging in there, I remember a couple years ago KC almost broke the record for # of games lost in a row, around 22 or something. The year the Marlins beat the Indians in extra innings of game 7 made me sick. Hoped the Brewers might of came back from the dead last year with thier wildcard spot in the playoffs, still remember they made it to the series and lost in '82 against the Cardinals. The Cards have been to the series 16 times and won 10, last one in 2006.
