Default Swim team or clubs in Burlington

We are in the midst of a (long) 6 month job search for my husband...it has been narrowed down to a possibility of moving to Burlington. The one that that we are very interested in for 2 of our children is for them to be able to swim on a team.
They currently swim where we are now, and this would help them transition a little easier if they have the same routines, interests etc. I cannot seem to find much on this. I did find that the Y has a team, but I can't seem to connect with the aquatics director there. I am curious how big the team is, how many practices per week etc....
Does any one have any idea????

Sorry nobody has responded to your question. I lived in Burlington ten years ago. It is a smaller community, but it is not a bucholic backwater. They have a parks and recreation department. Google them and pick up the phone. I was young and single when I lived there, and suprisingly, I was never bored.

Burlington has a YMCA. I'm sure that would be a good starting point.

Happy Trails,

I'm sure the High Schools in the Burlington area have their own swim team. Usually YMCA's have their own seperate swim team for younger people as well. I know Keokuk and Ft. Madison YMCA's do - I don't know why Burlington would be any different.

Calling the schools that you are planning on living near and asking them about it would probably be the best start - that or just check out the Y website.

BHS does have its own swimming pool and swim team. it isnt very large but im sure your children could sure help em out. the Y has a team, there is a newly remodeled pool in West Burlington, A municipal pool in Dankwardt Park, Fun City and the river. If your kids like to swim, you'd be in the right place.
