Good Morning All,
I was wondering if there are alot of fun things to do for children in the Cedar Falls area. I have a daughter who is 9 and a son who is 4. I want to make sure I can keep them busy. Thanks.

Default Cedar Falls

Hello! Cedar Falls is a great place to live when you have children. The schools are wonderful and it is a very safe community. I am a childcare provider in Cedar Falls so I know a lot about things to do with children in the area. Your four year old is easy. The library is a great place to spend time and they have a couple of puppet shows a month. We have children's theater, museums, sports activities, a nature center, ice skating rink and plenty of programs that offer art classes either for children or the entire family. A place called the Phelps Youth Pavilion just opened in Waterloo and it is great. A majority of the activities for children are in Waterloo but even from the furthest part of Cedar Falls to the furthest part of Waterloo is only 20 minutes. There are great activities like fun fairs at the schools and three times a year I take my 7 year old to a place called Heritage Farms. At the farm you can ride horses, play with piglets and goats and other farm animals, play on bails of hay, ride a horse drawn wagon and meet Santa, and Easter Bunny (around the holidays). Around Christmas is my favorite time because there are a ton of Christmas activities on Main Street. I could go on and on......If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
